...I guess thats why I am with my kit and letting people borrow things that they would otherwise never have the change to use...

That's a great attitude to take. *bows*

ok i dont get it: this person has totally overdone the hdr processing IMO and it seems i'm the only one who thinks that: can you guys go look and give me your opinions? you don't have to bomb his thread with neg comments, i'd just be interested to know whether it's just me who thinks on the whole the shots have missed the boat:

I was going to post a comment a day back there - very surreal, I do like them, but yeah, overdone. But it's all personal taste, just like you would like that.

Photographers are artists, and we're just differing our final medium result.

Cathpah has posted some awesome shots in Landscapes, from Cambodia and Thailand - I've PM'd a few times, - we tried to meet up, but the logistics would be too much hassle! Anyway, he does a lot of HDR work - mostly it's great, but sometimes a bit overdone.

I'm trying to be a good photographer through my eyes, rather than relying on heavy post processing, which I really hate doing. Rather than spending hours touching up (I've seen people state they spent 1-2 hours on one image, burning/dodging, shadows, highlight - seriously, I spend no more than 10 seconds on each photo, sometimes a batch edit, resize and USM once to crisp back up.

Love them myself. They are far from over processed if you ask me. Over processed HDR starts to have halo's and other nasties like lack of contrast etc.

haha that guy is one of my contacts on flickr. Hes been for ages. He does good images. I feel that they are a bit too saturated. I think that might be because of the HDR.

I love this photograph :)

Damn that was a boring game to watch. Only one decent break, and no tries at all. Bah. Wilkinson should have had more droppie attempts.
