So what does that make me for not always using a tripod for my landscapes?

*doesn't dare answer on the grounds that this is clearly a trick question*

I wonder how much the reserve will be on that tripod. Hmm going to have to skip the zoo at 12pm and just go to the park at 2pm. Mum is going nuts at me for not studying lately. But yay ill see you all there.

Ill be the noob with the tripod in daylight :)

Don't sweat it. My cheapy tripod lives in the car at all times. And it even gets used in daylight sometimes.

The more prudent question about the tripod is why is he selling? Gear like that is usually bought because you want it to last for years.

And as for the studying thing, I thought you'd finished Uni?

Cheers, Shane.

...Would you believe I now own more AA's since getting a 30D, than I did when I just had an A80.

Sure would. Those flash units don't half chew through batteries.

Oh like that ref for this morning's game then. He was more hardcore than the entire UK side put together. Haha Tony and you thought we'd finished talking about that :p

Looks like the 'entry level' manfrotto they sell at harvey norman and the likes. Those are actually pretty crap, and your $30 trademe special would do just as well with an SLR on top.

Im sick of editing photos for free. People are tight and its time that they learnt that you have to pay to get quality.

Makeup artists are a must and someone who can edit the phots as well.

Oh I have thought of been mobile as well. I did a shoot last yr for 3 flatmates at their place.Would use 580ex's.

Thoughts, issues?

Right a busy day shooting at the stadium - hired a sigma 14mm 2.8 for a couple of days - only cost me $50...

Where did you rent the lens? :-)

That contract i sent you - get them to sign it - there is a part in there about copyright and what they can do with the images...

A lesson in the fact that you should only hand over images that you want other people to see.. you hand over unedited.. of course they're gonna try themselves. You're shooting yourself in the foot. If you give them a disk of say 50 images.... quick edits etc - should take only a couple of hours.. factor that into your price. You're not doing it for free - it should be part of the package. I'd be expecting you to hand over images much like you posted just yesterday (or whenver it was) if you're not then you need to start.

So team up with a makeup artist as well and offer a whole package.... photography plus you will provide the MUA and they pay extra for that obviously. Its not rocket science really...

People are not necessarily tight - its your target market that is tight. You need to adjust where you're targeting.
