before my dslr collection (lol) i had:

* a fuji finepix 2800 digital
* before that a canon eos 500 35mm - which i got when my ricoh started to let in light and f* up my photos
* before that a ricoh slr 35mm (which i got when my zenit was dropped - not by me; same person who dropped my kyocera)
* before that a zenit slr 35mm - my first slr
* before that a little manual 35mm p&s from a chemist shop (which i got after my kyocera was dropped - not by me)
* before that (age 17) an electronic kyocera p&s 35mm with telephoto
* before that 2 different little 'toy' film cameras that took cartridges

Hell with all these camera and yrs of experence 1 would think you could take a desent photo by now :p

hmm i see. Because i was looking in the past forum and someone in GKPE was using a 300D and just got a new camera or something.

Warren if you're here. Please tell me how you get those sorts of colors and vibrancy!
Regarding latest blog
http://www.warrenwilliams.co.nz/blog/ (external link)

I actually stopped using CPL once I started using my grad ND filters.
When I bought the 1D, I also bought a new 77mm expensive thin coated filter, and gave my other $100 to Kirst, as I didn't need two. Only used it a couple of times.

Literally, the 1D in Landscape mode takes such rich photos, that it would look like I've heavily photoshopped them if I used it with the CPL at the same time.

I've also found I got some bad reflections in the past between the various filters, but didn't get them without the CPL on.

Daniel had a 300D, and now has a 400D...

Here's couple pics..

Been very busy with work and London on Saturday/Sunday/Monday where I met a couple of kiwi friends for some sightseeing - but the weather was sh17. So no good photos
Goodnight :p

My first experience with lighting

I was curious with producing some kind of back lighting. So i went into my basement, bumped it up to iso3200 and stood in front of the light, the only light source and lined it up behind my head. I was surprised at the shadows i got. I don't know what you call this. I just thought it would be cool to try out.

Well I think its that time where I re-evaluate where Im heading with photography. Time to explore other areas.

There is a theme comming through. I noticed it with my patternes of work. Horticulture and then computers. Umm lets see both involves things that dont have a mind of their own

People are hard work and stressful.

My first SLR was a Pentax ME82 or something, followed by an MZ-29 I think. After that I got a 300D, and now I'm using a 400D.

I'm sure there is a way you can be tactful and professional about it. I'm sure it happens everywhere.

What about something like "Images with impact capture the interaction between model and photographer. Anything that disturbs that interaction harms the photo shoot, and could require the shoot to be terminated. The model may be accompanied by another person, but that person may not affect the session in any way."
