I'm sure there is a way you can be tactful and professional about it. I'm sure it happens everywhere.

Hmm, Tony + Tactful = Not Tony:p

yee hehe i had to make it black and white because my ears were red :p. You know how the 10D, 20D, 30D, 5D and 1D's are all magnesium alloy. Do they feel like metal? and if you tap it does it have that metal tactile sound... it is a very dumb question. But i have never held a metal camera before. Only plastic.

Because ive noticed with my 300D it creaks and makes squeaky noises :)

No, they don't feel or sound like metal. They just feel a lot more solid. Half it it has to do with the ergonomics.

Whatever you do, don't go round picking the big models up. When you go back to your 300 you'll cry. You just will.

I don't know... when I first held our 20D (no lens) it felt plasticky and lightweight, compared to the solid feel of the pro1.

There is a big difference between the 50mm F1.8 and 50mmF1.4 as far as that "build quality" feel goes. I guess cameras are the same.

Oh i see. So its both you and the camera that produce those types of captures :p

My first experience with lighting

I was curious with producing some kind of back lighting. So i went into my basement, bumped it up to iso3200 and stood in front of the light, the only light source and lined it up behind my head. I was surprised at the shadows i got. I don't know what you call this. I just thought it would be cool to try out.

Actually quite a cool idea. I like the photo... and the glowing ears ;)

circa 1974

So funny. & that you have the pictures still and have scanned them too.

My 350D also creaked & made funny noises a bit too. Just felt plastic. The 40D feels better in the hand. More solid.

Make sure you make that clear to them (professionally) when you confirm their booking. dont expect them to just know and then put yourself in the position of having to get angry in front of her.

I would NEVER shoot a gal without another woman present, unless I had a sex change.
Take care and beware :p

She either wants the best I can offer or not.

Just try and word it in a way so it doesnt sound like you're a sleazy male photographer trying to get a model alone in a room.... thats possibly why they bring someone along in the first place if they dont know you from a bar of soap...
