Unfortunatly I also know plenty of sales and marketing people who fit very neatly into the stereo type.

Sad but true... I just wish people in the industry do not think short term but rather keeping a customer who will return to you for more sales, and spread the word.

Speaking of the book, does anyone think that anything I've posted so far would be worthy of submission?

Cheers.

wow - you'd be lucky if i can remember most of what everyone posts, or who posted it for more than about 15 minutes... the best way to find out is to enter

fascinating. That style of photos really appeal to me.

omg guys. I just learned another thing today. The best photographs produce an emotional response... hmm yay!

The shot is technically good. It's well exposed and composed. I think the reason it won't generate much interest is it has little emotional impact. Most people wouldn't connect emotionally with a row of post boxes. Without that aspect no amount of PP will make it more interesting IMO. Just my .02. Keep shooting tho!

This guy did a sweet C&C on one of my pictures. And it hit me. Sometimes when i shoot i think technically on how to compose the image and everything. But i forget about the emotion behind the thing im capturing. Cool.

i put in 3 more book photos: i have submitted to the last 7 sections in the list - or at least i will be, when i can do the final one. i am having trouble with my favourite category because it's too broad - nature and animals.

do i post a rainbow shot, or an animal, or flowers, or a sunset...
this category definately needs to be broken down at least into animals, plants and 'other'

hahaha you want me to compete with wendy? lol
i think YOU just want another one to submit ;)

<whine> i'm not going to end up submitting any people shots :( and they are my best work really, well maybe alongside flowers and animals
the only ones i can do a model release for, i can't publish </whine>

ok ive stopped whining now
anyone care to have an opinion about this suggestion for Nature & Animals? there's a poll... https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=410984
