hii-de-hi Campers!

Hope you are all dandy and fine!

I haven't read back on a single bean of the last week or so worth of posts. I may do... I may not. But that's not to say I haven't been thinking of you lot of fine folk.
New job rocks. I appear to have made my mark in the northland region already, which is fab. But that's not important.

Experimental photo with external flash.

Recoup time - it's been a whirlwind with learning my new trade. Anyone wanna' buy bricks :p

2 long visits Northland in 3 weeks has sent me shattered

Be well and all that jazz :)

I'll be back once I know which way is up ;)

Hi to any new fish :D

Hi Kirst. Nice to see you.
Good to hear the new job is going well.

Here's a bit of experimental photography.

You know him? So he's legit. Seems he's been contacted by KFC for pics of invers.

He was my competition at Craft World, also has many good photos of West Auckland printed on canvas with info tags below measuring maybe 80x50cm.. Surprised only wants low resolution images?!

I'd go for it anyway, just money.

Or go to KFC directly.

I don't know him personally, but have seen his work everywhere

I had a quick trip to south to Dannevirke in the last couple of days for my nana's funeral. I went via napier and on the way back my brother and I spent some a hour around napier taking some photos. I didn't take as many I would like. I also shot in jpg as well. One card is a pain.

roasted, plum sauce, pancakes, spring onion, cuecumber.. yum... :D

Giant duck was by a river :p

You're right though, it would feed you all, and that does sound tasty.

Hi to any new fish :D

Hiya Kirst, glad to see you're still upright and breathing. Yeah I could use a few bricks, need to build a bookshelf in the style of students circa whenever.

I like the second one better, the greater detail in the shot outweighs the distracting sun. interesting expression on his face though.

Cheers, Shane.

Been playing around with Photoshop & made more or less my first composition.

All parts of the image except the clouds are from my photos.
I know the perspective of the castle doesn't fit.. but it's all I had.

Critic & helpful tips appreciated.

I need a title too.

I want it to be something like
Falling angel
Discontented with paradise
I'm Leaving!

Overall, it was quite fun shooting a softball game.. The manager of the softball club told me if she and there bored approve the pictures then maybe I can become a official photographer of the club... What do you guys think of the pictures?

Regards,

JJ,

That's a good start. Dianna happy?

What SS said. There also is some image blur (on her face) probably from using the slow shutter speed and shooting at 200mm. Was your IS on? Colour is a little washed our but can be bumped up by saturating slightly (unless my monitor needs calbrating.)

Adjusted saturation, USMed, slight levels adjutment. I would also crop it tighter like this:

HI GKPE. uhh... yeah. lol

Thanks Guys... Yeah you are quite right they mostly look fuzzy I do not really know why but John may be right because of the slow shutter. I should TV mode.. Anyway tomorrow I can have another test run, because they have a tournament. By the way what does ute mean?
