Sherrah is just a great gal! I wish they were all this much fun!

It was difficult to get Sherrah to do the standard "sweet and innocent" look as she is so flirtatious and fun.

I've got a great setup I used for the first time, Lastolite now makes a "hotshoe softbox". I wish my assitant had grabbed a shot of it. I used this along with my pocket wizards for the lighting.

When I do the slide show for the wedding it will include the ZZTop song "Legs" with quite a selection of these images along with a glamour/lingerie shoot we are going to do.

We got started about 4:30pm and finished up about 8:00pm. Here future sister-in-law did hair and makeup as well as helped during the shoot.

You will see a funny shot of her in the mix! I wish I'd shot more of her as well. If you recall the Dixie chicks in the video "No Where to Run" then you can get a good idea of how she looked.

Here are is a cross section of what we shot last night.

I think they're really impressive. #2, #4 and either #6 or #7 are just great in my eyes. The last one's amusing, too :p

I think about 5'10"'.

I've got a great relationship with my local dealer, Competitive Camera in Dallas, TX.

I do a ton of "off-camera" lighting. I have had trouble with umbrellas getting damaged and the dealer gave me a new "Lastolite Hotshoe Softbox" to try out. It pops out just like the reflectors and you Velcro in the diffuser, it comes with a speed rings that just pops into place. The speed rings holds a speedlight where I then use pocket wizards to fire them.

I shoot with the flash in manual mode 100% and use a light meter to balance the ambient and flash and then adjust shutter speed to get the mix I'm looking for. I seem to be getting a system down that I like.

#5's stunning, #3's great, and they're all very good. Only thing that I don't like is her expression in some of them. The lighting's excellent.

These are very nice. Did you underexpose and then use flash to light them?

Los Colinas I'd recognize it anywhere a great place to shoot. Very nice shots and lighting.

Thanks! I think if you met her the expressions would make better sense of how they show who she is.

Thank you, it is really more complicated then that but....yes and no. I've got a process worked out where I blend the exposure of ambient light and off camera flash. I use a light meter 98% of the time. It has taken a tremendous amount of time and practice to figure out "my system" on how I blend or don't blend the light. I've got it down to where now it is just a matter of playing with the shutter speed and I can get some very different looks with out making any changes to the light. What I like is if I want to make the flash look overpowering like in the legs shot I can, If I want to make it look like natural light I can do that as well. I never have to readjust the light to do this.

She saw these today, she will get proofs tomorrow. She did love them. Even more than I thought she would.

Las Colinas is incredible, it is funny though the photographers here are tired of it. I'm OK with that because I don't shoot for me I shoot for my clients and I'm finding they really like it.

Thanks so much, I didn't look at them last night as I was wore out from shooting a 13 hour wedding on Saturday, getting home at 1:00am and then heading out to shoot these Sunday at 3:00pm (missed the dang Cowboy game). I opened them this morning and felt like a kid in a candy store.

What really made me feel good was the exposure and such was just so dead on. I'm really getting the hang of my current setup. It has taken months to get comfortable and find the right setup.

Oh just wait big boy! These are coming. She agreed today to do a glamour session for shots to give her hubby on the wedding night. I'm talking full lingerie and more! Grace will be assisting on those!
