Cap Desrosiers is in eastern Québec. Sky wasn't the best but it's moody. I wish I would have been there at daybreak.

Perhaps this shot would work better with a conversion, seeing as it's also so desaturated and overcast? Is this a Picasa resize? Seems a little soft.

Nope. It's been resized in Photoshop.

I like the colors or maybe the lack thereof. It looks like you did selective coloring, but it isn't and to me that keeps my attention a bit, i think it would have been a slightly better photo if you knocked the ISO down to 50 and let the exposure be like 2" or so. My .02

I think it's a nice shot. The one thing it needs is some punch in contrast and saturation.

Oh yes, you're right... Didn't have the tripod with me though.

Have a go at it! I'm open to suggestions (and I still have a lot to learn in terms of PP).

I guess some will beat me to it. I'm at work so I can't do any PPing from here. =)

I like the bleakness of this one but I think if the red of the seaweed was punched up a little then it would be more striking.

Mick.

Very dramatic photo. I've been there and had lighting problems. You did well with the sky you had, and I love the perspective you chose.

Thanks sparker. The fact that you've been there adds value to your comment (long drive for you, by the way!) And you're right... the light was less than ideal...

I love that shot, its got great potential...the sky is great and I love the angle...just lacks a little punch. I hope you don't mind, I fiddled with it and had to resize it so I didn't loose too much of the work in SFW conversion. This is the way I see it...but its just my opinion, don't like it I'll take it off. :)
Did levels 15, 1.00 (or 1.10), 230. Boosted the saturation by 25 I think it was. Then selected just the sky and the sea and boosted the hue by 15 or 20. I think that's it....doesn't need much, just a little boost to make it pop. I do love that photo tho, very nice. A shame its in Canada or that would be on my lighthouse list, not sure I have the stamina to drive up to Canada and take lighthouse pictures! LOL

I like this a lot with the desaturated colors - gives it a different feel and I love the composition, foreground is wonderful!

I like what you did with it TSEE. It has more "pop" and is nice to look at. Although the seaweed is much more saturated now than it was in real life... Even in my version it's a bit "too" red compared to what it was on site.

Looking back I wish the sea had been more rough. With that moody sky it would have been fantastic.

And a long drive it is, considering you live in the middle of nowhere (see your profile) ;-)a
