Hey guys, where could I go in the Brisbane CBD to take sunrise photos?
(apart from willstar's balcony, lucky devil) - nice shot too Wil. :)

I'm after a landscape, but also (or instead of) some nice architecture shots during the morning golden hour.

Any suggestions?

willstar wrote in post #4120288 (external link)
LOL!
You'll need to make it early - the ones I took today were 4.30am and sun up was not long after. Probably not much after 5 ish.
Customs house facing directly towards the Story Bridge will give you the rise with the bridge in the fore... You could also go to the Valley end of the bridge (as opposed to Kangaroo Pt end) and walk along the walkway part way along - should get some nice shots there, too.

I agree with the ungodly hour comment. You should have done that during winter. :p

I believe the Carpenters took some photos from near Customs House as the sun was rising after the ANZAC dawn service this year. That would of course mean digging through the old Brisbane thread. :p I was in town for that too but chose that particular moment to get me brekkie from Hungry Jacks before walking around aimlessly before the march. :)

What's Bentley's like price-wise?

They should be somewhat similar to Rainer's as they are both part of the Camera House chain.

Here's my attempt at more macro (without a MPE 65 ). Reversed 28-55 kit lens.

We went to my wife's cousin's for lunch and they have bees.

One shot of a bee, one of - well, have a guess - any ideas? While thinking, check out the little critters on it......

Nice fly - gotta get me a 100 mac. Was it straight lens or with any tubes?
Look like barnacles - the little cream/white things are little critters, with legs, having a crawl around. It's the top end of an avocado. No, we didn't have it for lunch!
