Yeah, I figure if I can't get a pit pass (not that I applied or anything, that would've probably helped) my lens may as well go before me.

I'm off tomorrow, but I have a bunch of stuff to do, mainly buy wedding shoes - I hate shoe shopping! But Thursday is my next day off, so let me know what your movements will be and we can work something out.

Sweet. Thursday... Could probably be in or around town then, i need to buy another CF card at least for friday.

:shock::shock:

you getting married?? or? (excuse my ignorance) :D

Yep! :D

Got my first dress fitting on Thursday, and I need my shoes so they can measure the right length.

I've had the fitting booked since July, and I have been putting off and putting off buying shoes. Now I've almost left it too late.:o I'm just not a girly girl, and I seriously hate buying shoes, clothes, makeup, anything like that. It drives me nuts... So, I have to find a pair I like (what's wrong with Converse Allstars under a wedding dress? ;) ) and buy them.

PM me about Thursday - I can be in town in the afternoon if you like, my dress fitting is at 4pm.

See, this is what I miss out on by not having a computer (or time to sit down) at work... I was awake but couldn't look at photographs! What a waste of my time.. :p

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=392733

!

Forget that 200mm 2.8 I was talking about yesterday, I want one of these babies!

edit: *thinks of the weight/cost/size* Then again...

Edit edit: I wonder if this coming announcement was related to the recent drop in 200mm 2.8 prices that we've noticed over the past week or two... probably totally unrelated but it's a small coincidence if not :p *thinks some more* Probably not related, really, considering that the lenses are probably going to be miles apart in cost and the new one won't be out for yonks :p

i think for me and using a 5D body, I'd still opt for the 70-200 f/2.8 IS (one which isn't a permanent loaner)... and then save up (big time) for a 300 f/2.8 with a 1.4TC.

200 on a full frame just isn't long enough to justify the cost.

although... f/2 at 200 is damn sexy... :|

Oh that would be a nice one, want to go halves? - another reason to move to Brisbane because the shipping would be a killer back and forth.

Check out the front element on that baby, it is huge!!!

I can think of so many uses for that baby, though she is a big one. mmm 135 is very nice helen.

I was thinking the same with my "Story Bridge" shots, sunrise, Gabba etc, all from the same location (ie our place!) Will have to get more adventurous and get out more!! ;)

That's OK - I'm full of ideas (and other stuff!) - our cousin has a (new) Lotus and (old) Alfa. I'll wait until his Dad has just cleaned them and go round for a few shots (and a drive) :p
