Ooh! Take me with you - I know some awesome roads not too far from Brisbane.
Course, the poor little sporty probably won't keep up with a Lotus, but I'm willing to take a fair crack, for the sake of art of course.

He's acquired his old man's taste for fast cars, hence the Lotus, and old cars hence the Alfa. He goes up past The Gap to the mountains 2 or 3 times per week as his day doesn't usually start until 12 noon. I went with him once or twice - the car's a bit squeezy for me as I'm just over 6', he's a bit shorter. We shared the drive - it was bl oo dy great fun! David

He was tossing up between that and a Caterham which was great - he drove one whilst deciding - went like the clappers. I took it around Brekky Creek/Hamilton and sat it in 4th gear at 30kph, floored it and the take up was amazing. Hit a ton before I knew it David

I work shifts, so a couple of days a week I take the little girl for a quick blat over Mt Glorious. There is an awesome unofficial hill climb circuit near Kenilworth - ask him if he's been there. It's a one-way street (road is divided into up - down roads), and as such you can get some serious sideways action happening into the corners. There are a few others as well. We'll have to go for a run one day so I can show you. Sounds good - he goes up Mt G early and races with the bikes (watch out, Leitch!) - they lose him on straights, he loses them on corners. Then they have brekky at the cafe up there! Early = less chance of tickets or points loss! David

I'll ask him if he's been to Kenilworth - I'm guessing he has. He's in Italy at the mo (work) - due back in a couple of weeks. David

Down's a different story - with a 45 year old car, drums on the back, and shonky cylinders on the front with a dose of brake fade that goes from "stop" to "holy sh!T!" over the space of 2 corners, I'm not even going to try and take you on the downhill sections! Ruth.
