Having (finally) read thru previous threads - my beef about Telstra, FWIW - not happy with them at all. When we moved, we requested a silent number. They charged us for one, but supplied general number. Several calls later, we got them to fix it, and also remove us from white pages on line. They voluntarily refunded 6 months of silent number cost for the "inconvenience" (read: stuff up)

Thought all was sorted until I flicked thru recently supplied white pages - guess what. There we are, bold as anything. So now we're trying to get something done - all they're offering is a new number, and will pay the cost of changing number with ISP. Big deal.

Looks like it's time to change from the big T (prefix to "ossers", I think), and do some internet/phone bundling.

Hi David

Unfortunately this is a story I've heard too many times... and not just with Telstra. Optus have done it, iiNet have done it... not much you can do really but hope... it's the sad reality.

Hope you get it sorted.

don't even get me started on optus.....we sold the business over 6 months ago and only just last week we finally sorted out the dramas we were having with optus after weekly visits to the optus shop and many MANY phone calls.

I'm still not believe it's sorted itself out yet though ?!

Cheers guys - hope to get it sorted, too. Glad (sorta) to hear that we're not alone in these issues.

Gonna talk to ISP re some sort of bundling - they have a connection with Primus.

Greg, we had Bridgestone REO40 on previous car - supplied when car was new, and we got around 55k from the set. Was on a little Lexus IS200 so we (read I ;)) tended to give it some now and then. Pretty happy with that.

Not sure what's on current car (Can't be bothered to go down to garage and check :p) - RX330 -Bridgestones again, I think, and still going strong after almost 2 years and 27k.

Bottom line is, we replaced REO's with same on previous car when the time came.

Thanks David, I ended up going for the Bridgestones again also. The previous ones had a bit of a reputation for low K's but not from what we found. We've got a VY Series II Berlina but it doesn't get too much hard work.

No prob. You still did OK with the first set - most need replacement in 20k or less, I've found. Depends on the driving habits, though.

Meanwhile, I've just got a couple of your bee shots to show our cousin who has bees - we went there over the weekend and took a few shots (posted a couple earlier). They're great shots, esp the one with bee coming into the flower where its' wings are blurred.

Hi Spammy, are you still after a job?
I was just on the phone to a certain bag store in the city and they just might be after someone who knows what they talking about. I had to politley decline the job that was offered to me. If you are still after something I reckon you should pop in and see what you can find out.

I don't get to drive the car much, mostly i;t's used by the wife and she's not a radical driver.

Thanks, I like Bees in Flight shots, something you can try in the backyard if you macro focuses fast enough. Mostly it is about the stalk, I've prefocused on the flower I'm waiting for them to land on and then it's only a quick refocus as they approach. I'd love to do a shot of the been leaving/entering the bottom of a hive, kinda like a launch off.

Anyhow gotta go, site visit to Springwood this arvo. (hehehe they let me out of the office:D)
