Okay. When was our last big meet? Was it Southbank?

In any case, we're well into the new year and we're definitely due for another. Who's interested and who has ideas?

I was thinking that we've done quite a few wanderings of Brisbane so what about a walk around more of a beachy (that's not a word, is it?) area, like Bribie or somewhere on the Gold Coast? (Maybe a bit further south so we can entice Kinnon before she buggers off :))

Sam, was it you who wanted to head out Samford way somewhere? Did that ever go ahead?

Well I recall Sam mentioned Mt Nebo, and there was some interest in trekking around my backyard (Cedar Creek, past Samford).

Also, Kinnon mentioned Mt Warning.

None of these has yet occurred.

Mt Nebo. That was it!
And I forgot about your backyard, Dave.

I think Kinnon was looking at Mt Warning on a Monday though.

Well, we have a few options already.
We need an availability roster as well :)

And Paul, didn't you want to go to St Helena Island at some point? Did you ever get there?

Caloundra and surrounds wouldnt be bad either, just a bit further north though.

I am keen to come along to my first meet, but depends on timing. The suggestion of Bribie sounds OK - would love to get some sunrise shots from a beach. I would also love to go wandering through a forest with my current interest in macro photography. So I guess that is no help at all - apart from the fact that I am flexible and will turn up anywhere it is decided to go :)

Buderim Falls and Kondalilla Falls are both up that way... we've had rain recently too (just to state the obvious).

Nope! But I'll go along anytime...although St Helena is best seen in the cooler months. There's no shelter.

Mt Warning is Leech City in wet weather and clouds stop you from seeing anything anyway.

John's the man you're looking for. This (external link) is his store.

I don't think I'm a fan of leeches. And good point about the clouds.

Thanks Nick. You're a legend.

If you're looking for a good walk, the Brindle Creek walk (in the Border Ranges N.P.) is very photogenic, but it's leech city too...and probably flooded as well. Best leave that one for a while.

No problem.
We'll have to put Brindle Creek in the to-do pile then.

John shambles in, I'm home again

I've spent more time away from home in the past week than there.

Mmmmm, almost a new thread and I'm only up to 182 or so postings - sigh, I feel such a failure ;)
