I sent the school coordinator an email about the one that was full yesterday and she said they had found a larger room and it would be showing as open today. So i checked it just before, the lecture time and room has sure enough changed, but it is still full. -spam- wrote in post #4866593 I sent the woman another email. And as i was doing that, another one of my core courses changed from open to full... ![]() The classes do fill up very quickly. Especially the ones in the first year.

If you're referring to more of a tutorial-type arrangement then I would still do the same thing (i.e. just show up to one) if you haven't managed to secure a place. Particularly in the first year, there will always be people who have signed up to a certain time but pull out or simply never show up. (I know, because it was me )heh slacker Feng

Quite a number of times I would make that journey, even at 6 or so in the morning for an 8am lecture, arrive at the appropriate building about a half hour early, take 5 to 10 minutes to decide I really don't want to be waiting around for this, and then simply stand up and head home. -spam- wrote in post #4867555 But i still have to enroll in those classes to make it a full time study load. DAdeGroot wrote in post #4867622 I must say, I didn't have any of those issues at UQ. I guess that's the difference between UQ and Griffith... (runs away to fetch flame proof suit) I remember someone telling me that QUT is the university for the real world. UQ is for the dream world. And Griffith for the welfare state. -spam- wrote in post #4867634 It doesnt surprise me. I would have killed to be going to UQ or QUT. Or at least the Queensland College of Art... I was by no means a conscientious uni student but, based on friends' experiences at both and my own, I would easily pick QUT over UQ. Probably even Griffith. But then again, I would now avoid universities all together.
