Im only 16 :o and thats quite alot of money to save :p it took me close to 3 months, but in the end we all know its worth it.

Any ideas as to what Macro lens I should get??? If you have a look at my site you can see what type of work I do and that might give you a clue to what my needs are?

The Siggy 105mm macro is a great one to learn with, then you can move to Canon ones down the track.

My 105 is hardly used, just rarely get the chance to practise with it. But I won't sell it until I feel I've mastered it.

Does anyone know what 'OTE' mean in regards to salary I think.

For example....

Assistant Store Manager
Salary $45,000 to $54,000 OTE!
Annual conferences for top performers- Hawaii, Bali, Couran Cove
Career Development Opportunities
Flexible working hours

Well I'm loving my Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro :)

Really though, most of the true macro lenses are quite decent, Tamron 90mm, Sigma 105mm, Canon 100mm are all fairly attainable, price wise, and all produce excellent images.

mmm indeed. That's why if I want to get a decent photography setup, now is the time to do it.

That's the main reason why a macro lens isn't on my list. I don't hold enough interest in macro for it to get the use. I'm probably better off buying a reversing ring or tubes for the time being. :)

Usually relates to "Ordinary Time Earnings" - it's a measure of average wages cost.

I got two completely non-related questions.

1. Can someone 'teach' me how to do the coloured smoke shots
2. How many posts do I need to change the thing where it says "Member" to what I want?
