This one doesn't sound so trivial.

what's wrong with speeding up to 40km/h in a car park with just my friends in it, then finding that the gate is not open so i pull a 180? (i didn't burn rubber doing the 180 either, i was just going 40km/h)

sounds sooo familiar :D heheh

this'll sound cliche... but they're only doing it cos they love you, and want the best for you, and and and... bla bla blah :)

i realise it more and more as I grow up, parents getting older etc...

I'll echo that and I am mmm a *few* years younger than Feng lol. End of the day be very very very glad that they do because in the long run it is a whole lot better to be arguing with your parents over what is essentially your safety etc than them not giving a flying rats ass over where you/what you are doing/etc etc.

I know it is hard to think like that right this moment but big picture helps in the long term.

it just feels like they are constantly nitpicking every single thing i do. then again, i may just be over sensitive, as i'm quite tired.

well... I wouldn't talk about speeding in car parks around me... where i probably wouldn't over react like older parents would, i definitely dont' agree with it... sorry.. too many friends who've done too many stupid things... with results including paralysis etc...

I am not even going to go with what is wrong here. You are not even on your opens to start off with.

it was a closed car park at my church, and my mum was in the car.. she called me a showoff, i hate being called that.

i didn't feel unsafe at anytime. but my driving 'style' is quite debatable, some people will never go with me because they feel unsafe. but i know the limits of the car i'm driving.

you know the problem Tim? It's not that you were a show off that she's calling you taht... or that you were a bad driver or unsafe...

problem is... driving quickly in a closed car park etc may be ok in your books, and many others... but....

the whole thing of 'peer pressure' etc is a whole different game...

not that i doubt anything you've said... but... I'm sure she's just 'winding' you up... so you don't get 'pressured' by other more serious things... drugs, alcohol, smoking etc...

people start off saying... oh it's only one more drink, one cigarette... one pill.. just try it.. it's harmless... the list goes on... then it goes... "i could quit anytime" "i do it cos I want"...

but honestly... just as long as you do what YOU want, and what YOU know is right. speeding may be ok for now... but I'm sure it's a way of winding you up with other intentions in mind..

now... if you understood that rambling, great... :D if not, great...

if you don't care... great.... if you do care... great

great

(did I say great?? :D)

well I have a Spyder2 with the Pro suite software.... but I want something that detects ambient light (pantone huey?) cos my area gets variable light all the time...

plus I need something for dual monitors :)
