if you do sports photography, why not consider upgrading to a 30d? versus the 3fps on the 20d or 10d, it would make a significant difference. then again, i do agree with the that you should at least upgrade to a 20d.

The major differences in the 20D and 30D were the addition of spot metering, a larger LCD and a larger buffer (30 jpg vs. 23 jpg) on the 30D. Other than that, there wasn't much difference. The frame rate for both the 20D and the 30D is 5 fps.

I'm afraid, I just can't afford it!

As mentioned already by Mark, IMO there is NO significant difference between the 20D and 30D (unless you NEED spot metering).

Best regards,
Andy

Adam if you are planning to keep the D60, have you looked at a used 300D (orig. Digital Rebel) over the 10D?

The original Digital Rebel was truly a firmware limited 10D, same sensor and the same Elan based 7 pt AF system.

The bonus is the 10D and 300D share the same battery and properly large hand grip of other XXD models vs. the new XT/XTi Rebel line (350/400D).

I used a 300D for sports for some time as prior to that I used an Elan with excellent results. Just another thought if funds are an issue. A good used 6mp body doesn't get much cheaper then a 300D. The AF on my 300D/Rebel was FAR superior to the AF on my D30.

Sell your current camera and your big ed grip. That should only put you about $150-200 behind a 20D.
