Sunday was my first e-session for a friend. We had a blast and the couple loved the pictures(which is the most important part). The weather was perfect, but I could've used a scrim and a reflector but I'm still working on obtaining equipment.

I already picked up on a lot of errors I made and am anxious to give it another go.

Here they are:

As Always C&C are welcome as I'm still learning I really look forward to feedback.

You must be better at picking out errors than I am, because I think these are really solid!

If I had to nitpick, I'd say a touch of fill flash in #1 to open up his eye sockets a bit, but other than that, I like the posing, the lighting, and the PP. Great job!

Jamie, thanks a ton. I do agree I could've used a little more fill flash. It was my first time really being in creative control of everything. I had a 2nd shooter who is also learning so I was trying to help him as well.

Thanks again.

Love the last one, though I think it could maybe use a vignette or something. Out of curiosity, how on earth did you get that shot?

I stood on a 3 foot high rock wall and leaned out over them...being 6'3 has it advantages.

Ah... yeah you've got about a foot on me!

Oh yeah.. and I like the rest of the photos, too:D I'd probably prefer a tighter crop on #2 (cropped in just a bit from the top right would be how I'd do it but I could be wrong...)

They look like they had a lot of fun!

these are nice. exposure is great... contrast is great, colour is great except 4 looks a touch colder than the others. The only thing I'd add is more photos of them engaging each other rather than the camera.

6'3''?? wow, I wish!!!!! so jealous!!! I carry a stepstool with me everywhere and shoot many photos blind by holding the camera up as high as I can.

Lloyd, thanks for the compliments. I have a ton of them engaging I just posted the ones that show their personality the best. I'll post a few of them later.

I did have #4 a bit warmer but I changed it. I'll go change it back to the way it was.

Mike -

These are great :) They really look like they are having fun. I'd like to see more with them ignoring you/the camera, but it is actually nice to see some great face on shots, too!

It looks like all of these are 2:3 ratio image, but they don't necessarily need to be. I think 2 or 3 could benefit from a different ratio crop cutting out some of the sides.

but what happens when the copuple goes to print copies from their CD (assuming they get JPG copies) ...the printing will be off no?

Thanks Kja.

Red...these are all going to be on hardcopy proofs so I kept the ratio intact.
