Transitioning from 35mm, can someone give me some insight on print quality from the 40D? If at RAW, the image will print A3 and above sizes, how big will it actually go? How does post processing affect print quality at larger sizes?

You will need to convert to JPG or TIFF anyway to print (unless you use Lightroom). It's the resolution that counts. Work on 300dpi for smallish prints and you can scale that down for larger prints without too much noticeable effect on the image. Al
