holy crap that must cost money to shoot those things off. Great dof in the first picture.

Politics? Do guns have politics?

Yes, its very expensive to shoot. And yes, unfortunatly, there are politics involved with firearms.

I'm afraid I don't know. I get busy shooting picts and I forget to ask about the details of the firearms sometimes.

Great stuff! Do you have any night fire shots perchance?

Crewchiefs had to be able to handle 50 cals. Heres a shot of Yankee Whiskey 10 when we were out on some gun runs on the way back to the boat. If ya look real close in the open side hatch you can see the barrel stick'n out.

I really like how the flames reflect off the shooter's face and arm. Nice.

they retired a bunch of those a while back. they have the 39 series now, and they are getting ready to retire those to replace them with the v-22 aka osprey :(

i miss hearing those 46's though. living in a military town you could hear the difference between all of the helos around.

It took me along time to not miss getting up at 0 dark thirty, fuel samples, pre flight and launch. Man I missed flying. Not enough to go back in but I really missed flying.

Those old 46s were a rough ride. Auto rotations  noth'n at 6 flags come close.

I flew in both D & F models. The Es came in a year or so after I got out. We had the GE T-58 -10 engines.
