I have a 20d that I bought used just over a year ago. Since I have purchased it I have taken close to 15,000 shots with it (according to the file numbers which flipped a while back). Recently I was shooting myself with a suit on and noticed a white dot on my leg in the photos. All the photos in the same place, kind of looks like a dead pixel in the sensor. Then I noticed another on the top right of the frame.

Is this normally how a camera goes? I am just wondering if I should prepare myself for disaster and start saving some money so it dont hit so hard.

Any ideas?

BTW, Def not dust or dirt, same spot all different lens and I swabbed my sensor, still there.

Probably not dead, but hot pixels. There is a method many have used successfully to clear them myself included. Put the lens cap on, or remove the lens and put the body cap on. Place the camera in sensor cleaning mode and let it site there about a minute. Then try a test shot again. Most of the time it is only one pixel, mine was red that gets stuck on. Sounds like you have all four, or at least three.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
