So I lug my laptop around. Canon 300D, Canon 5D and some glass and some stuff.

I use the Belkin Digital Camera Link. It's basically a USB port in your iPod. You can connect your camera or a card reader. It transfers 256MB in about 7 minutes. You can transfer up to 2 Gb before the iPod battery runs out. You can check how many files were transfered in the end of the process or run a check through the Digital Camera Link. I think it's pretty neat device. It goes for about $90. Juliano L.

The quoted transfer times look a lot better that what I've seen with the current crop of other things. I currently have an XsDriveII, and it takes *forever* to copy a 512MB CF over to the hard drive. Plus, I've no end of USB 2.0 connections problems with it on my desktop system. Every other USB 2.0 device I have works flawlessly.
