I want to offer some album option to my brides but I want easy. I don't have time or desire to put together albums. I love elegant, simplicity, black, no silver or gold lining, not busy, No corners overlapping.... I thought about hooking up with someone that creates albums (outsourcing) but I would love to albums that I mount. But here is my thought on that.... Lets say I buy a 8x8 I mount book, I would have to have 8x8 prints to put on those pages.. so I would have to include 2 to 3 pictures on one 8x8, which leads me back to creating pages. Is there a solution for me.

I hope I make sense!

Hi Audra,
As you know, there are lots of ways to outsource some or all of your album projects. For photographers, we offer design-only (you handle the print and bind) or complete design/print and bind for thsoe who'd rather not fool with the whole album thing. And there are others (designers as well as album companies) who also do a great job on album tasks.

Since album design is such a personal thing, the key, I think, is to find a design person who you can trust to showcase your photos to the MAX - and match your style. As well as having good responsive service and reasonable terms.

To see how our style compares to your vision, we offer an album design 'audition'. It's free. Just send 20-30 images from a recent wedding or portrait shoot and we'll design several spreads and post online for your eval. Details at www.storybookpages.com (external link)

In the meantime, contact us for any advice or questions.

We have steered clear of album design this year as its our first year and were snowed under anyway, weve designed one album ourselves so far.

We use Asuka books for our standard album and Everleafpro in the UK design these for us and for our premium album we use Graphistudio and they also do the designs for us. We can give them as little or as much direction as we and the clients want and then they provide us with a PDF proof, it works very well for us at the moment although we do intendt to do more of our own designs in the future.
