Having seen a couple of other dog racing threads on here, I thought I'd share a few of my own pics in case anyone is interested.
Whippet racing is entirely amateur, and no monies pass hands here in the UK, unlike Greyhound racing, where you can "Bet" on them.

Hope you like them, and comments etc welcome.

We do coursing on this side...

Coursing is enjoyable and is done on an open field with the dogs chasing a bandanna or flag on a line. It is a lot like what these sight hounds were bred for - chasing game across an open field. Often, various breeds are included. The absolutely most beautiful is the Afgan Hound events - they are absolutely awesome running with their beautiful flowing coats.

I am glad you posted these fine shots.

I will want to shoot the next coursing event locally now that I have the 400mm f/5.6L lens.
