nice shot, particularly for a first try at night shooting. you might do a little pp to reduce some of the light flare but all in all it's well done. nice composition.

i like the shot, i took one of it from the GRF museum. love that bridge. the ,most distracting thing is the major white lite, other side of the grand, same side of the bridge. i think it's the same lights that messed with me.

Thanks for the comments, this is straight out of the camera besides a crop. I'll play with that light sometime when I get the chance

Natural lens flares are a good thing in this case. I like it — everything about it.

Ever shoot the fish ladder up in Old Town in Lansing? The dam seems like a tempting target, but there's so few angles to get a decent shot. Maybe from the west side of the river behind Elderly Instruments?

yep i agree, starburst on lights occur when you go for dof and adds to the shot for me...only thing I don't like here is the section of road in the left foreground, the shot looks better cropped to pano format and this adds to the perspective on the bridge...only my opinion though.
