well one of my friends from high school asked me to go see her perform at our highschools homecoming and i was planning on taking a few shots but its raining pretty good...is it a good idea to take my cam or no?

Even if you have a fully sealed body like the MK2, and a weather sealed L glass, its not a good idea to have the camera out in open raid for anyhting longer that a a few secounds. you need to cover all cameras in the rain

Yea but I think they want to be able to take pics while its raining. needing the lens open, and the eye piece at least behind something clear. Not to mention access to controls.
