Does your 40D's metering go crazy outdoors?

40D seemed to work on evaluative..not spot, though. That's what I was hoping for.

Right. For the 30D/40D evaluative is AF-point linked (weighted more heavily toward active AF point), while spot only works at the center.

oh I know...I'm just saying...I've been hoping for focus-point linked spot metering in a prosumer body. The 1-series and most noinks have it...why not Canon?
