Very nice shots Brian. On a side note I've been studying your macro tutorials.
Thanks a lot for them. I think I'm getting a tad better.:)

Excellent series of shots, love em all but #3 is my favorite great colours & comp.
Looks like things are getting a bit damp up your way, well I can asure you not as damp as I !! having spent the best part of two Hrs. chasing an Elver through a local stream I was at tad more than damp, I got the bugger though :-)
Cheers for now

Thanks for the comments all :)

Scott- no probs- glad you found them useful.

Mark- have hardly had any rain for about 3 weeks here- that's condensation on the underside of the lids. :) and what do you do with elvers ?

Toby- No probs hopefully with the springtails- they normally live in/on my water barrels not the compost heaps. The only thing I've probably upset are the pseudoscorpions- haven't seen any yet.

Hiya Brian,
Probably not what you're thinking ( eat em ) I just thought it would be a different subject to shoot, as it turned out it was quite entertaining for a few last minute Grockles as all they could see was a strange looking chap with a strange looking contraption ( my arm crutch ) doing some sorta strange ' local dance in the stream with a camera,:lol: I'll post the shots in a mo

Cheers for now
Mark

Great shots. Really like #1. How do you keep the background from going dark on your flash shots?

Thanks Alby :)

This particular ladybird did seem to be a satin finish one rather than the normal high gloss. It had obviously been sitting in a high humidity environment for a while, not sure if this might have affected the carapace.
