An Elver

Hiya All,

Well I thought I'd try for something different today & came up with the idea of trying to shoot an Elver ( baby Eel )

As it turned out it was quite entertaining for a few last minute ' Grockles ' as all they could see was a strange looking chap with a strange looking contraption ( my arm crutch ) doing some sorta strange ' local dance on one leg in the stream with a camera.

I was reasonably pleased with how these came out given all the water that was about & the swine never stayed still

Unusual subject bandit. The shooting conditions look a little challenging also, I can picture it wriggling about through the weeds.

It was just something different for a change I also managed to get a half decent shot of a craps eye which I'll post later as I'm in a hurry to get out this morn.

A first eh, can't be bad it was quite small about 2mm across the head & 30mm long.

PS 'eel' reminds me of my favourite rugby league team, the Parramatta Eels, which were robbed of a grand final berth earlier today by exceptionally bad and biased refereeing imho.

Taking photographing through water is never easy, then you had a moving subject...

I am really impressed. Would ahev love to have seen a picture of you attempting this though...

Anything can be arranged but I don't think a shot of my arse bobbing about in the water & rushes as that is all one could see would be conducive to ones good health, no a pretty sight
