Can someone please explain to me what the term "crop" means? I keep seeing references to it. Which models are crops?

It's not a "zoom" factor, it's a crop. a 24mm lens on a full frame camera is still a 24mm lens on a crop camera. For the example you gave a 10mm lens on a 1.6 crop camera has the same "field of view" as a 16mm lens on full frame.You are absolutely correct Bob. This has been beat to death a few times. When possible we should let the new guys think that the 1.6 cameras give them more "zoom" and they can sort out the gory details later. My Gear
