import problems in lightroom

right now i am so pissed i can't see straight. lightroom is siezing up on import and i can't solve the problem. last import went fine. today i try importing a folder with 60 images in it, half jpg and half canon cr2 raw files. nothing else in the catalog at all. it should rip through this in just a few minutes but instead starts creeping after the first few files then stops importing altogether. i'm running lr 1.1 on an intel mac mini with 2gb ram. this has happened once before but a reboot solved the problem. not the only time lightroom has acted flaky or sluggish. optimizing the catalog didn't help either.



any ideas?

Try deleting your preferences file which is found at ~/Library/Preferences/​com.adobe.Lightroom.pl​ist

and update to the latest 1.2 update which seems to have fixed this bug (and a load of others) in the majority of cases.
