Continued from this thread. I finally got home and was able to upload the SD card & batch rename. These are at random, by the way.

1. More flash than I like, but a 6PM ceremony leaves very very little light afterwards.

2. Everybody. Again, the flash. Oh well.

3. I wanted this to be a total silhouette, but there was light on her dress from a dock light. Enough to fill them from behind. Sunset wasn't strong enough to totally black them out...I like it though because it shows her dress detail.

4. Sunset veil with flash. Cliche but she wanted it and I actually never did one before so it was fun.

5. One without the veil. I'm not a fan of how her arm is, but it was basically pitch black so I could barely see to frame the shots, let alone see details.

I'll have a few more later, but I still have to offload yesterday's Annapolis wedding.

1. Ouch!
2. Not bad even with flash. ISO200? Dude i've shot group pics at ISO1600 on a 20D occasionally. I shoot at ISO400 as happily as ISO100 for group pics. 12mm is a bit wide but I guess you didn't have much choice.
3. Nice, but the hard line of cloud I find distracting.
4/5. Nice. Get that flash off the camera if you can. I use groomsmen or guests as as to hold lights when I need to.

1. Yeah I know. Sharp eh? Here's a band-aid. I don't really love that shot, but I don't hate it either.
2. Why bother? ISO400 is either f/8 or 1/100th, neither of which I needed...
3. Thanks. When I first opened it I was annoyed by the light on her dress, but really I think it's a good thing. It helps clarify that it's not just 2 random people on a dock. Sorry about the clouds. Next time I'm doing a similar shot I'll let the Authorities know that They need to realign the atmosphere.
4/5. Thanks again. Since it was just us three, I never thought about getting the flash off the bracket. I wanted to keep that little session as intimate as possible, not making a big production out of a light stand that coulda fallen into the water from a light breeze, or bringing more people to the scene. I really don't think I'll ever use those light stands I got. I just can't see myself setting up all that stuff for such little gain to my own eyes.
