Some sort of mite i believe. it was about 1/4- 1/2 mm in size

these shots are about 80% crops of the originals taken at 5X lifesize= SMALL

any 1 no exactly what they are?

sory about the IQ. ddnt have a very steady hand today:p

Looks like red spider mite- the type that colonise plants and do a good job of killing them. If it is frequent water misting of the plant normally stops them.

Lance, not to single you out, but could you please keep your images down to smaller sizes please, or mark the post warning to 56k users. The first image is nearly 400kb (I have ways of checking without actually downloading them via the POTN website ;) ) in size, and I'm not even sure how many images there were altogether, but it was impossible to view them.

It's OK, just was frustrated...checked the images out tonight - must have been quite tiny and a heavy crop I suspect. These aren't easy to shoot, they are always on the move. Good attempt.
