IMHO, there's no real reason why the image has to be 1/2 a mb in size for a web based (non critical) post. Not trying to be a party pooper here, just give us guys that are stuck without a broadband connection a chance to view your images.

Didn't want to sound like I was being a whinger, it's just frustrating for us still left in the ISP stone ages...

and I have an ok connection but unless printing why have pictures so large?
Some broadband connections even have download limits, and there are still many dial up users. For these reasons I keep all my photos posted online under 100K (achieved by using compression).
