Grasshopper

Hi heres a grasshopper I found today
I'm still learning , used a mini tripod today to hold the camera steady at ground level and was able to get a sharp shot at 40 at F7.1 so I could use ISO 200 even though it was cloudy

It was a bit of a bonus shot I went out to try to get the hang of using the 70 - 200 with tubes. There were not many butterflies or dragonflies about but I got a few shots getting the hang of 200mm plus tubes very tricky I did not get anything good enough to post. Then I saw this little guy and put the 105 back on

PS I think he's a Meadow Grasshopper Chorthippus paralletus

That ain't a bad shot at all m'lad. Beautiful looking grasshopper, lovely capture, very well done.

Hi Bill got square on to him so the body was in the same depth of field, had to as I was on the minimum focus distance so had not a lot of DOF.
