Canon 430EX Speedlite

Hi guys,


Since i wanna get a nice... not to much money to learn flashlight for my 350d.
i was considering this thing Canon 430EX Speedlite (external link)230 Euro. Wich is for me super! (since its not so expensive.. considering de 580eII for 480 ..

I mostly wanna use it for Car - photography.. Wich is many situations is in bad lightning as a standard ( shows and etc. ) Another thing is i want to place that thing on the side of the car to light the up while im standing at the front ( meaning iR wireles.. ) Is this posible if i buy this Flashlight ..

But i want to use this flashlight for some outdoor(nature.. lil bugzzzz and plants.../indoor shooting.. Example in my own Studio box... ( i have already 3 desktop 40Watt lights.. but i miss one for the all around the box.. )

So will this do for me?!

If you want to use the 430EX as a slave in ETTL mode, you will need to either get a flash that can serve as a master, such as the 580EX or the 550EX, or get the ST-E2 transmitter. Unfortunately, the camera alone cannot control the 430EX as an off-camera slave.

But for general purpose use on the camera or off the camera but connected with the off-camera shoe cord, the 430EX will serve you well.
