Right at last got out and used the Raynox in anger.
This is harder to get the focus spot on.
A shield bug first as they stay still, he he.

Very little PP. Small crop, nothing really.

Hi Mark.
Thanks. This shot was taken on the Sigma 70-300 in macro mode. The Raynox is the DCR-250. I like it. I took some more useing the 100mm lens I will post them later.

Thanks for that, funnily enough I was PM'ing Alby tother day & he suggested trying my 250 on my 70-300, must give it a go soon

Thanks Pete. Yea took 5 shots only 1 was in focus very shallow DOF. I will have to practise a lot more.

Nice one skylab, great image.

I too have the DCR-250 - a brilliant conversion lens.

I am tempted to purchase the Raynox MSN-505, which can get you even closer.

Interesting results, nice shot, seems quite sharp. How much are these Raynox lenses, and can they be screwed onto lenses like filters (I presume so)? If so, are they available in a range of filter sizes I wonder...what sort of magnification do they offer, and I wonder how they compare to a Canon 500D...
