This little guy was hanging from a light on the outside of my house
I'm not sure if i've posted this already but...here goes anyways.

Shot with a canon rebel xt, and a Nikkor 55mm macro.
lol Nothing but full manual focus with this lens.

That's a rather nice shot, I take it that it's a crop? Looks like a cross orb weaver spider, probably female. As to noise, it doesn't look that noisy, but if you want, why not download Neat Image from www.neatimage.com (external link). The free standalone version is fully functional, although it only works on jpegs and cannot do any batch processing etc (or be used with Photoshop as a filter add-on).

Out of curiousity, how did you mount the nikkor lens onto the XT?

I have a ring adaptor that lets me mount the nikkor lenses to my canon.
But there is no electrical contacts, so aperature and focus are all manual on the lens.

Also the lens is an f/3.6...but mounted it throws the meter off, so I have to set my shutter for a speed ment for like f/2.8 or maybe a little wider.
