I just spent 2 hours editing and went to export and got this:
"an error occurred while exporting, 229 photos failed to export"

I tried even restarting my computer. GRRRR:mad: I can't get it to work!

Any tips before I have a nuclear meltdown?!

Re-check your target folder. Perhaps it's no longer available, or write protected.

Good luck,
Mickey

I had this issue. I could only export 100-125 at a time. Never figured out how to solve it. Got a new computer instead... :) Now exporting takes 1/4 the time!

Is it possible that the target hard drive may be full?

For preventing losing work due internal error use following setting:

File -> Catalog Settings -> Metadata -> Automatically write changes into XMP = ON

If a database fails / crashes, all your work is still there and building a new lib with the files loads the modifications too.
The standard setting is off. Version 1.0 could be set as general setting, whereas version 1.1 & 1.2 is set for each database. :(

"Normally" export fails if the file name of the target file exists or you do multiple exports at the same time. Was that the reason for the failure?
I assume that enough space was available.
