40D and learning it slowly

Finding quite a lot of differences on the 40D over my old 30D
did a Moto X event today, first Time, to experiment. added one of the shots ISO 500, sorry it is so small, just did not like being 100k
First time I used the camera with TV and Highlights TP on and Auto ISO set, though it was fairly overcast it capped the whites spot on on every shot, certainly will try these settings on my next football match
I did find out one thing doing Moto X today,, it starts with D,,,,, and ends with T,
I added a few shots playing with panning as I never done that before if anyone is interested in the Motor sports forum

6.5 fps fast enough for ya?

On the whole day, never shot more than 3 in a sequence, and most shots are either 1 or 2, I just cannot bring my self to hold the button down, I quite often have the camera set to L FPS, But I am sure it will come in of use at some point, better to have and not use and not to have and need

inquiring minds would like to know.

D700 paired with 24-70 f2.8; 70-200vr f2.8 capped off by B+W MRC fPro UV filters, B+W Kaesemann Circular Polarizers, Manfrotto 055xprob/488rc2. All comfortably carried with Kata R102 backpack... adding as needed :> yep sold my canon gear and switched to the dark side

Yes I am saving up for a sharper lens, all takes time though
