Cat's eye....

As the title states...a cat's eye. Very tricky to get a cat to hold still long enough for a close photo....this was mostly luck
edit: I guess it's a self portrait as well

nice shot on the self portrait . yea i know how hard is it to shot the cats eyes been trying that myself with my neice cat. darn thing won't stay still long enough for me.

Try with a bit of food, that might do it.

Thanks for all the comments The lens was a Canon 100 f2.8 macro.

Yeah, that is what I thought. I need to get one.

Can you PM me and tell me if you know whether you can focus closer with the 100 2.8 than with a 24-105 with the 500D filter on it? I have the 24-105 and 500D combo and it gets close, but I have a feeling a dedicated macro is simply the cat's meow (no pun intended) for macro.
