Hey folks, sorry another question

I have a Canon Rebel XTi with a 18-55mm(stock) lens and a Tamron 70-300mm, would I need a specific lens type to do a panoramic photo or is there something i can do with my camera to do this?

You can use photoshop to stitch images together.
The following was a result of stitching 3 images together.

Very nice! I really need to try this, but haven't had the panoramic opportunity yet. Still should practice.

There are programs that will automatically do it. Buy them, download them, w/e. I've done one just messing around, wasn't great but it was my first time awhile ago. If you have photoshop, learn it.

The Zoom Brower EX that came with my 400D has a Stitch option under the Edit button (on the left). You should have exactly the same.
It works a treat and is almost fully automatic. I could not believe how easy it was

12 Frame Pano taken at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon last week using a 5D and the 24-105mm @ 24mm (auto assembled in CS3):

One thing I've noticed lately, is a lot more people taking panoramas with the camera turned to portrait orientation. Giving it some thought, this makes sense as you'll capture more foreground (and more sky..which can be cropped out.) You'll notice that mine is a bit skosh on forground but I like how it turned out.

The Photomerge in CS3 is really excellent. This is 24 separate exposures using an 85mm in portrait orientation.

And in case it's not clear to the OP: you can use any lens you like (except a fish-eye probably). Just remember the basics of panoramas: manual exposure, manual white balance, overlap the images.
