Hello All,
I was doing some searching in the archives looking for information on car chargers. I have a G2 and love the battery life, but would still like to get a charger for the car.
The Canon one is WAY too expensive. Hey Canon, take the hint!
I notice several people spoke about the Mach1 charger. I've been using the builtin charger with the camera and quite pleased and not at all worried about it. However, since the Mach1 comes with 120v and 12v adapters, it sounds really nice. I could use it in the car and even in the house for a second battery.
I found something similar to it called a TurboCharger LX for only $39. It too does the 120v and 12v, but only does the BP-511/512 batteries whereas the Mach1 can do others.
Does anyone know anything about this TurboCharger LX ?
My other question is how many, if any, have used a DC to AC converter and then used the builtin charger to charge the battery? Is this a decent way of handling charging from the car or is there something bad I should know about it?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
