So, as a creative mind, i got bored and created a new way for my contract/modelrelease. Here is what I have so far, I'll be adding more stuff to it as I think of stuff. I'm also going to make a different cover for each bride, and i make a copy to give them (blank). Soon, I'll add pages of sample weddings and products and stuff.. it's gonna rock

what do ya think? (btw i have a print business so all of this is cake for me to do)

"what do ya think? (btw i have a print business so all of this is cake for me to do)"

That changes the whole attitude to this then... i was going to say it might be overkill and if you do a huge rollout of these, u might need to add an addendum page to cover any changes, but as you run the print business, i wouldnt worry too much. Milk it all for what its worth while you can.. becuase you can..

I really like it ... any ideas as to where you can get these printed? I'm intrigued ...

haha..

I can print stuff like this for anyone..

I plan on adding this type of printing for my photographerprints.com (not made yet) webpage when its developed.

If anyone does want this type of thing in the meantime, send me an email jon@slantphoto.com (external link) and ill let you know what I can do for you. :)

BTW, I can print 1 of these books at a time, so qty does not matter, it's the digital world baby :) - my printer does the cover, the insides, and folds and staples all in one go.. so its super easy and very affordable :)

I make a similar book for my 'proof magazine' that is included with the DVD of high res images..
basically I setup lightroom to setup 2 4x6 images per page, print it as a pdf, add the cover as 2 pdf pages to the lightroom pdf, and bam, print and its good to go :)

I'm wanting to help out photographers with their ideas and packaging and products.. I also offer mini 5x5 books like this as FRIENDBOOKS (i make 10 for $60) for each couple that they can pass out to their friends.

I'm definately a lot better with the printing/packageing aspect of wedding photography then the actual pictures and marketing of my photography.

Bryans question? I thought I answered that. I can print them! <3

I'm doing the whole wedding photography thing backwards compared to most.

I've worked in the printing industry over 7 years (im only 24). So I know how to layout, design albums, edit photos, print awesome looking stuff etc.
I'm really good with the printing side of things. I plan on printing my own albums eventually on my epson 9880.

So I know more about what to do with the photos AFTER they are taken, then actually taking them. But I am pretty good i think, for only being 24.

Had an awesome engagement shoot yesterday, gonna post pics in a new thread in a lil bit.

As some of you were interested in this.

I'm not going to be doing any designing for you guys, I just dont have the time. BUT my friend over at volocreative.com (external link) sure would love to if you have lots of money.

As for the printing, this is how I'm going to be doing it I guess.

They need to be designed for 11x17 finished product, but created at 11.25 x 17.25 (to allow for cutting and so the color print can go off the edge).

It's going to cost $2.50 for the cover (100lb 2 sided gloss coverstock), and $1.50 for each 11x17 front and back (4 pages) (100lb 2 sided gloss TEXTstock).

So say a 8 page contract (2 11x17's, front and back), with a cover, would equal to be $5.50 each.

If you want higher quantities and pages, I can see what I can do.
