So I shot a destination wedding out in Jasper, AB... one of my most favourite (and most beautiful) places in the world.
On top of that it was held at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Fairmont runs the most top notch luxury hotels in Canada.
With that in mind, I just couldn't turn this one down!
Too bad it was really cold and rainy and didn't have much chance to showcase the amazing landscapes.
This is a New Zealand couple who met in Jasper, so they figured they'd get married there! He's originally from the UK,
and she's from Austrailia, so the 24 person guestlist had people from three continents. Man what a fun bunch they were,
my wife and I felt like family after this wedding.

Having said that, we did 3 weddings in 11 days in three different cities and drove 2000kms (1250 miles). I think I'm
going to limit the number of destination weddings next year... it's too tiring.

Holy crap Lloyd! Amazing!

My favorite has got to be 10, with 7 and 11 falling close 2nds. How did you light #10? Looks like you had a blast and got some amazing shots, I'm impressed! Even your candid-lobby shot looks amazing!

thanks bryan!

I had a lot of fun shooting this one.
9 and 10 were lit the same way, I had a 430EX sitting on the bridge surface with a PW. (used the feet that came with the flash) Then I ran really freaking far away to get the angle I wanted. 10 was taken at 153mm on a 20D! Then using walkie talkies, I directed them to walk out and told them what to do. We wanted to minimize their time on the bridge because it was SOOOO cold, windy and wet out there. I was really taxing the range on the pocketwizards, but they didn't miss a beat.

Love the dress shot, but #8 and #9 are the standouts in this set. Absolutely stunning!

#'s 8 (even though it's a little crooked) & 9 are just amazing! The dress shot isn't really doing too much for me for some reason, but do like the PP on it. I love 3 & 11. :D

Great job, once again :) I really love this set as it reminds me of our honeymoon in Banff and Jasper!

I'm also not too fond of the first dress shot and prefer the second one.

In #9, I just wished the groom wasn't lost in the trees.

I was also hopping to see a lot more mountains. 5 and 7 were great opportunities for that (if 5 was taken from a higher angle and if 7 didn't underexpose the background as much). But I understand that it must have been hard with the temperature you had.

LLoyd, absolutely love these shots. What lens did you use for 10?
