looks like the DCR 250 works well with your 100mm lens. I bought the MSN 202 thinking i'd want the greater magnification but working distance is about 3cm. Useful table here for the DCR 250 albeit only shows slr with 18-55 kit lens:

I have now ordered the DCR 250 - advantage over tubes is that you can remove quickly if something larger comes into view.
