I'm looking to get the nifty fifty to get me started with the primes, and I have almost saw all the pages in the images archive for that lens ... looks like $76.30 shipped is the best price I saw so far and that is at Amazon ... Did anyone buy it for less than that in the recent time ? The used ones are going for $65-70 shipped but since it's just a matter of ten bux, I'd want to get a new one ... any help finding better vendor/price is appreciated ...

thanks ...

Just do it, if I were buying one now, I'd go with the $76.30 shipped (external link) from Amazon. I don't think you'll find a 'better vendor'.

As far as a better price-- it is slightly cheaper at BHphoto, but will almost certainly top Amazon's price after you factor in shipping.

I don't see a listing for this lens directly from Amazon with free shipping. There are listing on Amazon from J&R, Adorama, etc. which will add additional shipping costs. Direct from Adorama.com looks like $74.95 including shipping.

It changed, just in the amount of time between your post and mine. (we all how Amazon tends to do that)

I guess Amazon's stock is depleted for the time being (or something)
