?'s on updating my Mark II to 1.2.6

Due to my recent CF slot failure in my Mark II I figured I'd get a SDHC card for just in case. Can I load the update onto a 4gig SDHC card? The way I read it is that the SDHC card will work without the update, it just won't register as 4 gigs, it will register as two. One 4 gig card is cheaper than 2 2gigs. Thoughts? THanks!

I wouldn't count on that. I don't think it's as simple as a CF card and it's FAT16 or FAT32 differences. I think it's also the technology and different specs behind it. That's why card readers have to be SDHC compliant too or they can't even recognize the cards.

Hopefully somebody will confirm if that is true. I did my update using a CF card. Can't you borrow a 1GB SD from somebody for a second just to do the update if that's the case?

I think we have some of the 16mb SD cards that come with P&S's too. I should go that route. THanks!
