The color seemed off to me. The poses are okay but kind of static. The future groom seems really uncomfortable. Seems like he is thinking this is a waste of time. I hope he isn't that stiff on the wedding day. #10, #15, #17 do it for me.

Ya i did a few interesting color oriented image adjustments, but the client loves them.

The groom wasn't uncomfortable, it's just not all couples are gonna be the fast paced happy go lucky kinda people, but they did work with me. He even waited till like 2am till i posted the photos online, so he definitely is excited for the photos.

And as an update: I just booked another wedding because of this engagement shoot! I CANT WAIT! This is starting to look good, im so excited!

There are a lot of nice shots here!

Sounds like you are still a new photographer based on the above statement-?

I checked our your website and blog and you have a lot of great photos and your website has some neat ideas and a fun layout.

My favorite is Cati Shiley Sumer 2006! Very nice! (blog)

However the language on your site and blog is horrible!!! I would NOT book your services based on the language used on your site and blog. You have demonstrated a very unprofessional approach there and I think this will limit your bookings. Many people may not take you seriously with language like ' lotta' and 'suck' on your site and blog. The site and blog has to be your first impression and I would consider some changes there.

I hope you are not offended by my critique and I wish you the best of luck!

Yep, this is pretty new to me, ive been doing photography for a few years, and just now starting to get into it to make money. Thank you for your kind words about my photos.

As for my website and language that I use.

Who cares, It's who I am, I'm not here to sugar coat my work just to impress some up tight people, I wouldn't want to take their photos anyways. I'm in a world where I interview my clients just as much as they interview me. I want them to be 'down to earth' and great people. If I can't get the type of client I want, then I cant get the type of shots that I want. It's my personal way of weeding out the snobby, the picky, and the bridzillas, and letting the good ones in.

It's me, it's my style, its my life. Sometimes you gotta just be a PERSON, and act like a person. I'm very friendly with my clients, and they respect that I don't HIDE anything from them, and I tell them EVERYTHING about how I do the things I do, and why they cost the way they do and my processes I do to get them their product. I want them to know what I do. I want them to know ME. Not just as some random photographer that took their wedding photos. I want to be a friend with a fancy camera that takes great shots.

I'm not offended at all, but sometimes you guys gotta take the stick outta your asses and just be HUMAN! (this is not in any way a retort, just a generalization of life as we know it)

Yup, some people can't do it, but that's the nature of me. I have to deal with what i'm givin, and that's the way I am. Sometimes it's bad, and yes I probably will lose clients over it, but overall If what i do makes me happy, then I'm going to continue to do it. It really lowers the stress level on this whole photography biz thing. trust me!

I don't know anything about weddings or photography, but here's my 0.02:

#1 the faces are bit too bright for my liking
#2 I kinda like this pose for some reason, but man that guy looks like grump!
#3a - like it b - not so much. don't like the pose.
#4 - nice, but he's stil grumpy
5 - cute. he actually looks happy.
7 - pose looks very stiff. I would prefer if his hands were on her waist as this almost looks confrontational.
8 - like both of these poses, b seems kind of soft and maybe too much headroom, unless you're planning for an 8x10
9 - awesome. his grumpiness actually kind of works here as "broody"
10 - nice he looks a little stiff, but I'm getting the feeling that's his nature
11- don't really like this pose as it almost looks like he's walking away from her
13a - can't he smile?
13b - yes he can! like this one a lot.
15 - cool pose. would have preferred it portrait as i'm not getting a lot from the extra space
16 - I find the bright highlights on their faces distracting, but am digging the bg
17 - i like this one a lot.

some of the processing isn't to my taste, but the couple must like your style if they chose you! overall, I think this is a good set.

Hah, yeah everyone is saying he looks grumpy.. heh.. He apparently likes the photos, so i guess he's a grump lol.. He really wasnt in person though, he was very friendly and personable. Not everyone can be a model I guess heh.

Also all of these are uncropped, and as shot. I dont like to minimize what sizes they can be printed at, so sometimes headroom is left on purpose (or unintentionally on purpose lol)

as for #15, yeah I do have the same photo, but portrait. They liked that one for some reason though. weird.
