Are you kidding? Ducks are great on a plate as well! Have you ever had roast duck? Peking (Beijing) Duck? I could go on...

Of course ducks are yummy, they are just yummier if you shoot them first

If all of your photos with the 40D come out looking like a goose, you had better send the camera back....steve

That is an excellent general advice. I wouldn't want my duck flapping in my plate... oh wait, you meant the other kind of shoot! ;)

If one such camera is around, maybe it is one of Canon's secret specialty camera that was misplaced...

This is a GOOSE! This is also not the first time that a POTN post has claimed a GOOSE as a duck shot. Someone a while back claimed a Canada Goose as a duck shot. Canada Geese are very distinctly not ducks and this shot is also not a duck. Please people, let's not embarass ourselves... the birders in the bird section are probably laughing very much out loud...

Good shot of a goose, though!

when my daughter was teeny weeny she called every things that flew - 'Duck!" because ducks were the first birds she met so she thought all feathered friens were ducks

Duck wil do for me , on this shot!

BTW I like the grey against grey , really makes afeature oif that orange beak

Congrats on the new bike!

- I mean camera -

It would scare you if the 'duck on the plate ' turned around suddenly and took a shot of you with a tiny duck camera - what if it was a secret duck-agent - scareee (phew It's OK I just remmebered its'a gooothe)

If that happened, I would first check with a psych to make sure my head is okay. If that checks out, then we can begin to talk about a duck conspiracy to take over the world.

Ooh! No wonder ducks dictate the customary and necessary first shot of a new camera or lens! They have slowly begun to make us do what they want!
